Anne E. Kapraun - March 21, 2004

BENSON -- Anne E. Kapraun, 63, of 2504 County Road 1700 North, Benson, died at 6:45 a.m. Sunday (March 21, 2004) at her residence.

She was born on July 29, 1940, in Streator, a daughter of Arden and Florence Uphoff Tallyn. She married James A. Kapraun on Sept. 1, 1962, in Benson. He survives.

Also surviving are five sons, Michael (Melinda) Kapraun, Washington; Daniel Kapraun, East Peoria; Charles (Renee) Kapraun, Evanston; Benjamin (Gretchen) Kapraun, Maroa; and Bruce Kapraun, Brookfield; two daughters, Kathleen (Felix) Mehler, Pittsburgh, Penn.; and Charleen Kapraun, Brookfield; one sister, Arlene (Donald) Wolf, Benson; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Arnie Tallyn.

Anne worked for the Farmers State Bank of Benson until 1962, she was a homemaker and housewife. She returned to work for the Apostolic Christian Home of Roanoke for four years before she retired.

She was member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Minonk, where a memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Private burial will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Benson, at a later date. Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home, Roanoke, is in charge of arrangements.
